Charlotte Tilbury - Airbrush Flawless Foundation

I mentioned a few weeks ago that I’d been considering picking up some Charlotte Tilbury makeup purely to use as a frame of reference since SO many people love it. My very generous friend, Emma offered to loan me some items to test out to save me the cash and let me tell you, I’m glad I didn’t buy them.

We will get in to the other bits later but for now the best selling ‘Airbrush Flawless’ foundation. I had high hopes for this. The CT models always look so gorgeous and glowy, the base products are really the only ones I’d be tempted by. This was far thicker than I expected and it looked and felt heavy on the skin. Part of the issue here is that I’m a light coverage girl and so it was never going to be for me BUT I’ve tried heavier coverage bases that didn’t accentuate my pores or feel mask-like so I’m surprised this did. It creased under my eyes (but I didn’t set it with any powder so - pinch of salt) but it did last a long time on my skin.

Ultimately, it’s long-wearing and it looks GREAT from a distance but up close, even freshly applied I found it to be unflattering. I saw every line and was happy to wash it off at the end of the day. If you were going to an event and being photographed, I think this would be perfect but otherwise it’s a miss for me.

I know I might be in the minority here though so I’d love to here from those of you who LOVE a high coverage foundation because that is probably a big factor here.

It’s also £39 a bottle!! OUCH!
